IOM Hungary concludes its exchange programme with the UK

Exchange of experience with counter-trafficking stakeholders in the UK

The project "Transnational Cooperation on the Identification, Assistance and Referral of Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings" has established robust professional network of British and Hungarian stakeholders, involving more than 70 professionals.

Participants learnt about each other's daily work, shared their experiences and good practices during a study trip to London at the end of April and then during an online workshop on 17 June. Building on these, as well as the findings of a desk research two written outputs were released by the end of June: the stakeholder mapping embraces all organizations contributing to the protection of Hungarian victims, while the rapid landscape analysis presents the trends, organisational frameworks and challenges related to modern slavery and human trafficking in the two countries.

The written materials are expected to lay the foundations for cross-border cooperation, which will also help to protect and support victims more effectively.

The project was financed by the UK Modern Slavery Fund.
