Duration: January 2013 – February 2014

Donor: European Return Fund (national allocation)

Status: Completed

Summary: The overall aim of the project is to contribute towards the improvement of the standard Hungarian voluntary return assistance through the provision of reintegration support for returnees to Kosovo under UNSCR 1244. The project, although separate, complements the previous phases of the reintegration assistance of Kosovar returnees travelling under the Hungarian Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (HAVRR) Programme by offering a reintegration package in the form of counselling and small-scale business grants. The reintegration counselling aims to inform potential beneficiaries on the available reintegration assistance and its purpose, enhance their skills in proposing and developing business ideas into feasible business plans, and refer them to available vocational training courses for returnees and to local employment agencies if required.  This will be achieved through a carefully tailored information dissemination of the project to the beneficiaries regarding the available reintegration measures. Several activities that will contribute to the beneficiaries’ access to the available reintegration assistance include: direct provision of reintegration counselling, information on available public services for returnees and referrals to relevant institutions in Kosovo working with returnees, and development of business plans as per the individual needs of each beneficiary.
