IOM Budapest was invited to participate at Council of Europe’s Roundtable event on child-friendly information for children in migration

IOM Budapest was invited to participate at Council of Europe’s Roundtable event on child-friendly information for children in migration organized by the Children’s Rights Division in the framework Council of Europe Action plan on protecting refugee and migrant children (2017-2019) on 29-30 November in Strasbourg. The aim of the roundtable was to gather good practices of tools and methodologies to communicate with children in migration a child-friendly way. IOM Budapest presented the child-friendly information materials (leaflets and posters) developed in the framewok of IOM’s regional child protection project.

The aims of the roundtable are to gather examples of good practice of tools and methodologies to communicate with children in migration in a child-friendly way and also to gather the recommendations of stakeholders and child participants about how to improve child-friendly information tools and practices. The outcomes of the Roundtable will be included in a Handbook on child-friendly information to be drafted next year by Council of Europe.
