Increasing Public Health Safety Alongside the New Eastern European Border Line (2007 - 2009)
Geographical Coverage: Europe
Duration: June 2007 - December 2009
Donor: EC-DG SANCO
Status: Completed
Summary: This project aimed to increase the public health safety of all EU member states and to help provide health care to migrants crossing the new Eastern European border line area as a fundamental human right. These aims were realised through the completion of the border management procedures with a public health training module. Providing appropriate and adequate care for migrants, this project intends to establish security measures against health risks and assist the effective managing of national, regional and EU-wide public health matters.
