Budapest - With around 40 million victims of human trafficking worldwide and nearly 40,000 in Hungary, Hungary is one of the most affected countries in Europe. As a UN migration agency, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), is raising awareness of the dangers of human trafficking in Hungary with the “Don't let it happen, don’t make it happen!” campaign. Although, the organization’s research shows that people have become better informed in recent years, young people at risk still know little about human trafficking and one of the main types of trafficking, sexual exploitation, which most often affects young girls and women.
