Child protection training for OIA professionals
IOM Budapest, in cooperation with the Office of Immigration and Asylum (OIA), the Cordelia Foundation for the Rehabilitation of Torture Victims and UNHCR, organized the second round of capacity building trainings for OIA professionals in Budapest on the 15th of November 2017.
While during the previous training in the summer we discussed children’s rights and the vulnaribilities of migrant children, this Wednesday the topics included IOM Budapest’s Guidelines to protect migrant children (which will soon be available for the public), the best interests of the child and how to determine them, as well as the identification of traumas. Next week we will continue with the second training for the OIA professionals in Szeged.
